Too overflowed to make fulfilment promises?
Fulfilment is a complex and often fragmented business. Between the arrival and the departure of a loaded tank container, a wide variety of services may be applied.
Will the container be heated, sampled and leave? Or must product stock mutations of a long-stay container be tracked, transloading order by transloading order? Even more complexity arises when customs or dangerous goods and hazardous substance loads, especially combined with transloading, are involved.
Each tank container on your depot yard should be accompanied by a visual workflow of all activities that have been and are expected to be performed. A tank container oriented system should keep track of stock mutations and customs status information. Early warning systems are needed to help detect permit and segregation violations. Tank containers that must be heated require advance registration of instructions and an early warning system that checks risk of flashes and overflow. A logging system that is attuned to the various methods of heating should be in place and a register of samples must be tracked along with the order.
